The Sony VAIO Wireless LAN Access Point lets you share files, drives, printers with one or more computers on your wireless network. Using any IEEE 802.11b industry-standard wireless LAN PC Card, you are assured of secure communication, high-speed data transfer rates (up to 11Mbps), and a range of up to 150 feet (line-of-sight). Compatible with LAN, DSL, Cable modem, ISDN (Different from PCWA-A100 access point, it does not have telephone modem.). Also includes roaming capability - enjoy walking around with network connection! The PC cards automatically locate access point with same ID under the same network in the vicinity.
